About Sorobon (Lac Bay)
A shallow, turquoise bay on the windward side, fenced off from the ocean by a reef. The water stays flat while the trade wind blows hard: one of the best places in the world to learn windsurfing. Swimming is fine in the shallows, but it is windy on the sand.
Good for: kitesurfing and windsurfing. Facing: east; the beach is protected by a reef or breakwater. From Kralendijk: about 20 minutes by car.
Facilities: Windsurf schools, beach bars, chair rentals.
